Kürşat Çavuşoğlu, who is a dentist in Antalya, won gold medals in both the singles and doubles in the table tennis branch in the 38th World Medical and Health Games (Medigames). Çavuşoğlu became the first Turkish table tennis athlete to win the world championship 5 times.
Kürşat Çavuşoğlu, dentist from Antalya competed in the table tennis branch in the 38th World Medical and Health Games held in Marseilles, France, between July 1-8. Cavusoglu, who won the gold medal by defeating South Korean Myung Han Kim 3-1 in the men’s singles, earned a gold medal by defeating all opponents with his partner Italian Massimo Tonacchera in the men’s doubles. Cavusoglu won 2 gold medals for Turkey.
