The election program was read by the President of Kirkuk Turkmen Front Erşet Salihi who is also the leader of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF).
Kirkuk Turkmen Front MP candidates also attended the announcement of the program during which Salihi said, “All Turkmen political parties are closing ranks and the Kirkuk Türkmen Front is participating in the elections with a single list.”
Salihi said, ”Our target is to make Kirkuk a special administration zone and ensure that all groups are included in administration. Turkmen must take place their rightful place in the administration of Kirkuk.”

Salihi underlined the devastation and destruction incurred by terror organization DAESH and said that Turkmen anticipated the rebuilding of the numerous districts, towns and village.
Salihi emphasized that their main aim was to “enable Turkmen who have been transformed into internal migrants to return to their homes” and said:
“Our priority is to transform Telafer and Tuzhurmatu districts which are mainly inhabited by Turkmen into provinces. We must enable the tens of thousands of Turkmen currently in the status of internal migrants to return to their homes.”
